practical touring kettle

Bought this fould flat silicon kettle to use for my motorbike and fishing trips as when not in use it completly squashes flat so very practical when space is at a premium

I really like this kettle. It folds very flat, holds more than enough water and works on all hob types including induction hobs. I did wonder if the water from it might taste of silicone but it doesn't. The really good thing is that it will pack inside my camping frying pan, my older and more traditional camping kettle took up so much room in comparison.

A really useful stovetop kettle for home and travel. the stainless steel base conducts heat well, and although at first I was concerned about the small size in relation to its height, I was quickly proved wrong. I put this kettle to the test against my old stainless camping kettle, and this was boiling ages before the other - both of them on top of the same wood burning stove, with equal quantities of water.It pours nicely, if a little slowly - its a thin stream, so can be poured accurately. a tiny hole in the lid lets air in so it doesn't "glug" as you pour but has a nice, laminar flow.It works on my induction hob too, so I can put it on and have hot water incredibly quickly. Folds flat when not in use so I don't have it sitting on my stove top all the time, and its a really handy size for camping.A word of caution - as with any kettle, do not overfill or water will spurt out of the spout when it boils. Common sense really, but it bears repeating. For this kettle i fill only to the top crease and it never boils over for me.
